Refund Policy

At SkillCompass, we want you to be completely satisfied with our mentorship services. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds on our paid services.

Note: Our free community Q&A sessions are completely free and do not require payment. This policy applies only to paid 1:1 mentorship services.

1. Satisfaction Guarantee

We stand behind the quality of our mentorship services. If you're not satisfied with your first mentorship session, we offer a 100% money-back guarantee within 7 days of your first session.

2. Refund Eligibility

Full Refund (100%)

You are eligible for a full refund if:

  • You request a refund within 7 days of your first session and have attended only one session
  • Your scheduled session was cancelled by SkillCompass or the mentor without rescheduling options
  • Technical issues on our end prevented the session from taking place
  • You cancel a session package before any sessions have been conducted

Partial Refund (Pro-rated)

You may be eligible for a partial refund if:

  • You purchased a multi-session package and wish to cancel after completing some sessions (refund for unused sessions)
  • Significant scheduling conflicts arise that prevent completion of your package

No Refund

Refunds are not available in the following situations:

  • Sessions already completed (beyond the first-session guarantee period)
  • No-show without 24-hour advance notice
  • Cancellation less than 24 hours before a scheduled session
  • Dissatisfaction with career outcomes (mentorship provides guidance, not guaranteed results)
  • Violation of our Terms of Service leading to termination

3. Session Rescheduling

Before requesting a refund, please consider rescheduling:

  • Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice
  • If your mentor is unavailable, we'll match you with another qualified mentor
  • Unused sessions in a package can typically be rescheduled within 90 days of purchase

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  • Contact us through our contact form
  • Include "Refund Request" in your message
  • Provide your name, email used for booking, and reason for the refund
  • Include any relevant booking confirmation or session details

5. Refund Processing

Once your refund request is approved:

  • Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is processed
  • Bank processing times may vary (typically 3-5 additional business days)

6. Mentor Cancellations

If a mentor cancels a session:

  • We will offer to reschedule with the same mentor or match you with another qualified mentor
  • If no suitable alternative is available, you will receive a full refund for that session
  • We will notify you as soon as possible of any cancellations

7. Package Expiration

Multi-session packages have the following terms:

  • Sessions must be used within 90 days of purchase
  • Extensions may be granted on a case-by-case basis
  • Expired sessions are not eligible for refund
  • Contact us before expiration if you need an extension

8. Disputes

If you disagree with a refund decision:

  • Contact us to discuss your concerns
  • Provide any additional information that may support your case
  • We will review and respond within 5 business days

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your purchases are subject to the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
